Di Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, don talk say Kayode Egbetokun stay as Inspector-General of Police (IGP) dey lawful.

Fagbemi yan yesterday say di appointment wey start from October 31, 2023, suppose end when Egbetokun reach 60 years on September 4, 2024.

But di Police Act wey dem amend don allow am complete di four-year tenure wey di Act permit, even if e don pass retirement age.

So, Egbetokun fit remain IG until October 31, 2027, to finish di four-year term.
