African Action Congress (AAC) don set up campaign council for di 2027 presidential election as di party prepare to take im message reach voters for all 36 states and Federal Capital Territory.
Di party talk say di 2027 election no be only about changing di person wey dey Aso Rock, but about changing di way Nigeria politics dey run.
AAC, wey complain say di current political system don fail to meet wetin Nigerians expect, announce di setting up of Sowore–Magashi 2027 Presidential Campaign Council to strengthen im preparation for di election.
Di party Acting National Chairman, Samuel Ajeigbe, and National Secretary, Oshiokhue Ikpeminoghena, announce di development for statement. Dem explain say di council go bring together political planners, campaign organisers, media workers, policy advocates, legal experts, election specialists, finance workers and people wey go mobilise supporters for different communities.
Di campaign council go coordinate activities across all 36 states and Abuja.
According to di party, Abdullahi Usman go serve as Director-General of di council, while deputies go handle Strategy and Political Affairs, and Diaspora and Resource Mobilisation. Juwon Sanyaolu go serve as secretary of di campaign council.
AAC also establish 10 national departments to handle different parts of di campaign. Dem include planning and policies, grassroots mobilisation, labour and civil society relations, publicity and communication, digital media, data and technology, election operations, finance, legal matters and compliance, as well as administration and field operations.
For grassroots level, di campaign structure go connect coordinators for states, local government areas, wards and polling units. Di aim na to build network of volunteers, people wey go canvass for votes, polling agents and supporters across di country.
Di party also recognise di role of SOWORENOW app for organising supporters and coordinating campaign activities.
However, AAC explain say di new campaign council no go replace di existing digital mobilisation structure. Instead, e go strengthen am by adding physical mobilisation, political coordination and direct engagement with people for different communities.
Di party say di campaign go carry im message reach both big cities and rural communities, state capitals and polling units across Nigeria.
AAC call on Nigerians wey want different direction for di country to join di campaign, adding say national change need active participation from citizens, no be only wetin politicians dey do.
