Edo Queens, Nigeria’s team for this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco, don start their campaign with a perfect win, thrashing CBE of Ethiopia 3-0 in their first Group B match on Sunday.

Goals from Emem Essien, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Chukwuamaka Osigwe gave the Nigerian champions a comfortable victory.

In their next group game on Wednesday, November 13, Edo Queens go face FC Masar of Egypt, another debutant who shocked two-time Women’s Champions League winners, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, with a 1-0 win in their opening match.

The 4th edition of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League go run until November 23, 2024.
