Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) don talk say dem don start liquidation process of Heritage Bank Plc after Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revoke their banking license.
NDIC Director of Communication & Public Affairs, Bashir Nuhu, for statement yesterday, note say di corporation dey verify to pay customers of di bank wey get alternate bank accounts up to N5 million per depositor, depending on their deposits. Depositors wey get funds wey pass N5 million go collect liquidation dividend after di bank assets don dey realized and debts wey dem owe di bank don dey recovered.
NDIC talk say for depositors wey no get alternate bank account, make dem go nearest Heritage Bank branch with proof of account ownership and verifiable means of identification, like driver’s license, permanent voter’s card, or National Identity Card, along with their BVN, for verification of their deposits and di subsequent payment of insured sums.
