As dem resume afta two weeks budget defence break, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announce di appointment of new chairmen to oversee di committees of di new Development Commissions wey President Bola Tinubu don sign into law. He name Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as Chairman for di South East Development Commission committee, Titus Zam for North Central Development Commission, and Husseini Babangida for North-West Development Commission.
As part of di reshuffle, Akpabio still appoint Abdul Ningi as Chairman for Senate committee on FERMA, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organization), Joel Onowakpo (Local Content), Victor Umeh (National Population), Maidoki Musa (Sport), and Austine Akobundu (Airforce).
For another matter, Senate President announce say President Bola Tinubu don sign into law di bill wey establish di North-Central Development Commission (NCDC), one federal polytechnic for Rano, Kano State, and one federal university of health sciences for Tsafe, Zamfara State.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of di House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, reveal say President Tinubu no gree sign di bill to establish Federal University of Education for Numan, Adamawa State, because of errors for documentation and other concerns.
