The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) don condemn the latest increase wey dem do for petrol price, and dem dey call for immediate reversal. For statement wey dem release yesterday, NLC president, Joe Ajaero, blast the federal government say dem don raise fuel price again without providing better relief for Nigerians wey dey struggle.

NLC still accuse Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), say dem dey operate like monopoly wey dey control fuel price anyhow, instead of allowing competition for the market.

This new wahala follow as dem announce new pump price for premium motor spirit (PMS), wey we sabi as petrol, wey don pass N1,000 for filling stations on Wednesday.

The labour leader warn say this price increase go worsen the poverty wey don already dey country, reduce production, and cause more people to lose their jobs. He advise the government make dem get better long-term economic plan instead of relying on “ad-hoc” solutions and palliative measures.
