According to di statement wey dem release for Abuja yesterday, di Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development yan say dem dey “deeply concerned” to announce di confirmation of dis anthrax case for Niger State, Nigeria.

Anthrax na serious disease wey dey caused by di bacterium Bacillus anthracis, e dey affect mostly ANIMALS like cattle, sheep, and goats – but e fit also infect humans wey get direct contact with infected animals or wey chop contaminated animal products.

Last week, the Federal Government bin tell Nigerians say make dem shine eye because anthrax don dey break out for some countries wey dey near Nigeria for di West African sub-region. Dem even advise say make Nigerians no chop “ponmo” (hide) for now.
