The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) don give directive to telecom service providers say make dem block subscribers wey no link their phone numbers to their National Identification Numbers (NIN) on or before February 28, 2024.

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, Aminu Maida, talk this one through the Director of Public Affairs, Ruben Mouka, for the 45th Kaduna International Trade Fair on Wednesday.

E talk say as a matter of critical national security, telecom users must link their NIN to their SIM cards.

Maida talk say the February 28th deadline wey NCC give to telecom operators to block subscribers wey no link their NIN to SIM cards, still dey valid.
