Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) don order telcos to block di USSD codes wey dem give nine banks because of unpaid debts.

For di public notice wey NCC sign, dem talk say di affected banks gatz pay di money wey dem dey owe before January 27, 2025, or dem go lose di USSD codes.

Di NCC still explain say di affected USSD codes, like 770, 919, and 822, wey people dey use for mobile banking, fit dey reassigned to other people if di banks no settle di debt.

Dem also talk say some of di unpaid invoices don dey since 2020, wey show say di matter don tey wella between di banks and di telcos.
