Public servants under the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council (JNPSNC) don reaffirm their ultimatum to the Federal Government, warning say workers fit begin three-day warning strike from October 2, 2026 if government no answer their demands.

The workers say dem want petrol price drop to N500 per litre, make government announce wage award, and quickly start discussion for new national minimum wage before 2027.

For statement wey JNPSNC National Secretary, Gbenga Olowoyo, sign, the union leaders talk say September 30 deadline still stand and government must act before then.

Dem say if President Bola Tinubu no address the matter before the deadline, especially for im Independence Day speech, workers across Nigeria go down tools from October 2.

According to the council, current petrol price wey dey between N1,450 and N2,000 per litre, and even reach N2,500 for some areas, don put serious suffering on workers and their families.

Dem argue say government need intervene make fuel price come down to N500 per litre.

The council also advise government make e continue crude oil supply arrangement with local refineries to help reduce fuel cost and increase local refining.

The union leaders also call for immediate wage award to help workers survive the present economic hardship.

According to dem, many workers dey struggle to cope with rising cost of transportation, food and other basic needs.

JNPSNC also demand make Federal Government quickly set up committee wey go start negotiation for fresh national minimum wage wey go take effect from 2027.

The council say early preparation go prevent unnecessary delay when time reach to implement the new wage structure.

According to the council, Nigerian workers and their dependants don suffer enough from the current economic situation and government need take urgent action.
