National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) don reopen Onitsha drug market after dem carry out sanitisation operation wey start from February 10.

Director of Enugu Zone Zonal Operations, Dr. Martin Iluyomade, make the announcement during a stakeholders’ meeting wey NAFDAC, Anambra representatives, and Onitsha market leadership hold yesterday.

Iluyomade clarify say even though the market don reopen, owners of about 4,000 shops wey dem profile and suspend need to visit NAFDAC individually to clear themselves.

Mr. Ndubuisi Chukwulota, wey be Chairman of Ogbo Ogwu Traders Association, thank NAFDAC for reopening the market and promise say dem go work together to stop fake drugs.
