Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso don commot for ECOWAS

The military juntas for West African countries Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger don announce say dem go withdraw immediately from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The juntas accuse ECOWAS say dem dey influenced by foreign powers and say dem no dey help military-led countries tackle “existential” threats like terrorism.

The juntas yan this one for one joint statement, wey dem broadcast on state television for all three nations.

Dem talk say ECOWAS dey impose inhumane sanctions wey dey aim to reverse recent coups wey happen for their countries, instead of improving the situations.

Meanwhile, ECOWAS talk say dem never receive any direct formal notification from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger Republic about their intention to withdraw from the Community.

Dem talk dis one for one statement on Sunday, and say dem dey work seriously with these countries wey be founding members of the bloc since 1975 to restore constitutional order.
