The cancellation of Kenya’s Finance Bill 2024 for June come after plenty protests against the tax, which force President William Ruto to review the budget and look for other ways to generate revenue.

But Treasury Secretary John Mbadi don confirm say “about 49 measures” dey considered as part of the new tax amendment bill, wey go focus on reducing pollution and improving waste management for office and household levels.

The government also plan to collect more taxes by extending the tax amnesty period by six months.
