Federal Government talk say dem no dey responsible for the recent increase for petrol price, as dem no fit fix price for petroleum products again. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited don raise the pump price of petrol to over N1,000 for different regions for the country, except Lagos wey dey N998.

Reacting to this matter, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, talk say NNPCL make this decision because of the current situation for the energy industry. He appeal to Nigerians make dem understand the situation and assure say price go eventually come down.

According to Idris, since dem end subsidy regime for May 2023, NNPCL don dey pay differential to keep the price within the range wey e dey, but the company don talk say dem no fit carry the losses again.
