Federal Government don declare public holidays for Good Friday and Easter Monday

The Federal Government of Nigeria don officially declare Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, 2024, as public holidays to celebrate Good Friday and Easter Monday, respectively.

Di announcement come from di Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of di government, for one statement wey di Permanent Secretary of di Ministry, Aishetu Ndayako, release on Wednesday.

Tunji-Ojo call on Christians and all Nigerians to think well about di meaning of Easter and to behave like Jesus Christ wey show love and sacrifice when e die on di cross to save humanity.

E talk say apart from di religious aspect of Easter, e also dey promote values like love, forgiveness, and compassion wey dey important to make society dey peaceful and united.

Di minister tell Christians to show dis love and forgiveness, and e talk say e fit help Nigeria to develop well and make people to dey cooperate well with each other. E tell Nigerians make dem do charity and show love to people wey no get, as e go show say dem get compassion and dem dey united.

Tunji-Ojo talk say all dis na part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, wey dey put national unity, social harmony, and collective prosperity for front.
