The members of the National Council of State, wey include former Presidents, Heads of Government, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Governors, and former Chief Justices, yesterday unanimously pass vote of confidence for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The meeting, wey happen for Council Chambers for Presidential Villa, Abuja, na President Tinubu himself lead am. Former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari dey there physically, while former Heads of State General Yakubu Gowon and General Abdulsalami Abubakar, plus President Olusegun Obasanjo, join the meeting virtually. Governors of Abia, Adamawa, and Akwa Ibom also participate.
After the meeting, Abdul Rahman Abdulrazaq, Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, talk say the main outcome of the meeting na the vote of confidence. E add say the meeting also talk about the recent protests against economic hardship, with the National Security Adviser brief say the protests dey push for regime change.
