UN World Health Organisation (WHO) don announce say cholera don increase for different parts of the world, with almost 195,000 cases and over 1,900 deaths reported for 24 countries since this year start.

The agency’s Eastern Mediterranean Region get the highest number of cases, followed by African Region, Region of the Americas, Southeast Asia Region, and European Region, but no reported cases for Western Region.

UN health agency talk yesterday say dem don finish their global stockpile of Oral Cholera Vaccines (OCV) by March, but dem fit pass the emergency target of five million doses by early June for the first time in 2024.

On the positive side, WHO announce on Thursday say Chad don successfully eradicate “sleeping sickness” as public health problem.
