Administrative work for universities and inter-university centres go disrupt tomorrow, July 9, as each branch of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) go hold one-day protest over their four months withheld salaries.

Already, the Joint Action Committee of both unions don direct their state chapters to meet today in preparation for tomorrow’s protest, after which dem go announce the date when the strike action go formally begin.

This decision, according to the unions, follow the alleged failure to reach agreement with the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

But the Minister of State for Education, Dr Tanko Sununu, say the ministry dey work to address the unions’ demands.
