Jigawa State Police Command don arrest seven people wey dem suspect say be drug barons, plus other suspects, for different operations wey happen across di state.
Di command Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, talk say dem make di arrests between July 27 and August 1, 2025. Di operations na based on correct intelligence, and e help police recover plenty illegal drugs, stolen motors and vandalised property.
Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad, hail him officers for di quick and sharp work. He talk say dem go continue to make Jigawa safe for everybody.
Di statement show say police arrest suspected vandals, burglars and motorcycle thieves. For Birnin Kudu, dem catch one person wey carry vandalised cable wire wey dem believe say na government property.
For Kazaure, police arrest three suspected burglars wey get stolen Android phones. Di suspects don confess and dem go face court after investigation finish.
For Gujungu village, police stop one motorcycle thief and recover di bike. Di suspect, Jibrin Muhammad, dey under investigation and police dey find him partners.
For Dutse, dem arrest seven people wey dem suspect say dey sell and use Indian hemp and other illegal drugs. Di suspects dey help police with investigation.
For Ringim area, police catch one drug baron wey get plenty Indian hemp and banned substances. Dem go carry am go NDLEA for prosecution.
For Hadejia, police arrest two more drug dealers with plenty illegal drugs. Dem too go face NDLEA investigation and prosecution.
Police also arrest two tricycle thieves for Taura LGA and recover di stolen tricycle. Di suspects, Nazifi Ahmed and Salma Haruna, still dey custody and go face law soon.
For Kiyawa, five suspects wey get illegal drugs like D5 and Exol tablets don land for police hand. Dem go face court after investigation.
Police command dey beg people make dem continue to support security work by giving correct and timely information. Di CP warn drug dealers and criminals make dem stay away from Jigawa or dem go collect full punishment.
He talk say police no go rest until dem clean di state from crime and make everywhere safe.
