President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don promise to set up disaster relief fund to help Nigerians wey dey affected by floods and other disasters.

Yesterday, as e visit Maiduguri for Borno Government House, President Tinubu show sympathy to the government and people over the recent flooding from Alau Dam. E talk say the relief fund dey very important because climate dey more unpredictable now. Private sector don dey urged to contribute to the fund.

According to our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan, Borno State Governor, Babagana Zullum don thank the President for the quick response of Federal Government agencies, especially NEMA and the military’s Theatre Command, in helping evacuate stranded victims. He don also request for the state to be rebuilt and for the general improvement of the people’s standard of living.

The Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba El-Kanemi don ask the President to investigate how the Alau Dam collapse and overflow into the town happen so that e no go happen again.
