Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, talk yesterday say the movement wey FAAN and CBN dey make from Abuja to Lagos no mean say dem wan move the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to Lagos.

Onanuga explain say the movement of FAAN, wey be department for Aviation Ministry, to Lagos, na the place wey e dey before former minister Hadi Sirika come move am to Abuja during the last administration.

E talk say the movement of some departments of CBN to Lagos no suppose cause any worry because the departments dey handle commercial banks, and all of them get headquarters for Lagos. E add say regulators suppose dey close to the businesses wey dem dey regulate.

Onanuga still talk say many parastatals no dey based for Abuja depending on their mandate. E give examples like NIMASA and NPA wey dey Lagos, and National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) wey dey Lokoja, and not Abuja.
