The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) don issue 15-day ultimatum starting from Oct. 7 to the Federal Government to address their various demands.
The National President, Shammah Kpanja, talk am while he dey address newsmen yesterday, say the decision wey the NEC take dey important because the Federal Government never implement long-standing issues wey dey affect the sector.
He mention say the demands include make dem review and reverse all acts of impunity wey no follow the Federal Polytechnics Act and other governance instruments for the sector. He also call for the immediate start of the review process for the suspended document titled “schemes of service for polytechnics 2023,” as dem agree for the tripartite meeting wey happen in July 2024.
