Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and head coach Justine Madugu don get nomination for big Ballon d’Or awards. Nnadozie dey nominated for Women’s Yachine Trophy wey be award for best female goalkeeper, while Madugu dey run for Women’s Johan Cruyff Trophy wey be best female coach award.
The Yachine Trophy na award wey dem name after Soviet Union goalkeeper Lev Yashin. Nnadozie go compete with four other keepers: Ann-Katrin Berger from Germany, Cata Coll from Spain, Hannah Hampton from England, and Daphne van Domselaar from Netherlands. The award go happen on September 22 for Théâtre du Chatelet, Paris.
Nnadozie play big role for Nigeria WAFCON success, she keep four clean sheets as Super Falcons win their 10th title. Dem crown her Best Goalkeeper and she enter Team of the Tournament. She also help Paris FC win Coupe de France, saving two penalties against PSG to give the club their first title in 20 years. She just sign for Brighton.
Coach Madugu go face Sarina Wiegman from England, Renee Slegers from Arsenal Women, Sonia Bompastor from Chelsea Women, and Athur Elias from Spain. Madugu lead Super Falcons to win WAFCON without losing any match and dem name am Best Coach of the Tournament.
