Leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) don declare say dem go carry out nationwide strike from next Tuesday, November 14, 2023, if government no meet their demands. Dem take this decision after one special meeting for Abuja yesterday. Dem also talk say make dem shut down Imo state, stop all flights, fuel, and electricity supply into the state. This order come just few days before the governorship election for November 11, 2023 for Imo state, where the current governor dey contest for re-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC). Some of the demands wey Organised Labour give Federal Government last Friday include say make dem change the Imo police commissioner, Mohammed Barde, and make dem arrest and prosecute some of the governor’s aides.
