Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) don raise alarm say some people dey plan to cause wahala inside the party, weaken am and spoil im chances for 2027 general election.

The party accuse some former members and people wey still hold positions for the party of trying to create division and weaken the support wey dem get from people for grassroots.

For statement wey dem release for Abuja, PRP National Chairman, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, claim say the people behind the plan fit spend hundreds of millions of naira to influence party members and create another group inside the party.

But the party no mention the names of the people wey dem accuse, and the statement no provide evidence to back the claims.

Baba-Ahmed call on party members and Nigerians to reject any attempt to divide the party. E also warn against people wey dey try to recruit polling agents for the party without proper permission.


E talk say some party officials fit use plenty money to convince members to support opposition candidates, and e urge members to expose and reject such moves.

The PRP chairman also warn any serving party official wey dey involved for the alleged plan say dem fit face punishment from the party.

Baba-Ahmed assure party candidates and supporters say the party leadership no go betray their trust and commitment. E insist say PRP remain ready to challenge the continuation of the current government beyond 2027.

E add say the party go continue to support efforts to bring opposition parties together so dem fit challenge the ruling party for the next general election.

The allegation come as opposition parties dey make moves to work together ahead of the 2027 election.
