Dan Burn and Alexander Isak fire Newcastle to a 2-1 win over Liverpool for the League Cup final last night.

Even though Federico Chiesa pulled one back for Liverpool in stoppage time, the Magpies held on to beat Liverpool for the first time in 18 attempts.

This win marks Newcastle’s first domestic trophy since the 1955 FA Cup. In fact, their last silverware was the 1969 Inter Cities Fairs Cup.

The victory also means Eddie Howe become the first English manager to win a domestic trophy since Harry Redknapp in 2008.
