Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu don earmark ₦5 billion for di construction of 14,000-bed permanent site for Agbowa, Ikorodu.
Dis announcement come during di passing out parade of 4,277 corps members for di NYSC temporary orientation camp for Iyana-Ipaja on Tuesday.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also announce ₦100,000 gift for each corps member wey dey pass out from di camp, along with ₦100 million allocation for NYSC support staff for Lagos State.
“Dis year alone, I go dey put available total of ₦5 billion wey go dey use to start di full development of di permanent site for NYSC.
For dis batch, with all sense of responsibility and because una don work very hard, each and every one of una go go house with ₦100,000,” he talk, add say di money go enter their accounts by next week.
Di Lagos State Government don previously allocate land for Agbowa, Ikorodu, for di construction of permanent NYSC orientation camp. Governor Sanwo-Olu reaffirm him commitment to complete dis project before him administration go end, assert say NYSC deserve permanent orientation camp for di state.
Additionally, di governor promise automatic employment to 100 corps members wey excel for their national service.

Earlier for di event, Yetunde Baderinwa, di NYSC Coordinator for Lagos State, emphasize di important role of NYSC for contributing to di economic stability of Lagos. She assure say corps members go dey deploy across various sectors for di state and urge them to accept their postings with patriotism, dedication, and diligence.
Baderinwa also remind di corps members to adhere to di rules and regulations of di scheme, warn say any infractions go dey penalize according to NYSC bye-laws.
