Each of dem go receive N10 million to start their own business after dem don finish their NYSC service.
Dr. Jamila Ibrahim, di Minister of Youth Development, yarn dis one during di first meeting of di National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) management with heads of Corps Producing Institutions (CPI) for Nigeria, wey happun for Abuja on Monday.
Dr. Ibrahim talk say dis plan na part of di changes wey dem wan make for di NYSC system, and e dey different from di Nigerian Youth Investment Fund wey dey for 2024.
Di minister emphasize say di government dey committed to use di plenty resources wey di NYSC get, to invest for different areas like agriculture, manufacturing, clothing, communication, and digital banking.
She beg di people wey dey manage higher education institutions for Nigeria to make sure say dem dey help young graduates to develop well for mind, body, and society. She talk say e dey important for dem to prepare di young graduates well for national development work.
Brigadier-General Yusha’u Ahmed, di Director-General of NYSC, talk say di reason wey dem do di meeting na to make sure say dem work well with Vice-Chancellors, Rectors, and Provosts to improve how dem dey mobilize people. E talk say dem need to solve di problems wey dey ground and make sure say di mobilization process dey work well.
Mr. Nyesom Wike, di Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, talk say e dey important to use better ideas to solve di problems wey dey ground and make sure say young graduates fit join hand with di government to develop di country. E hail di NYSC for di way wey dem dey use technology to make sure say dem dey efficient.
Mrs. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, wey represent Mr. Wike for di meeting, wey be di Mandate Secretary of Women and Children Affairs, FCT Administration, beg everybody wey dey involved to participate well and contribute good ideas.
