The Health Promotion Department for ministry don drop one advisory, warn Nigerians say make dem dey careful and protect themselves. Dis disease na serious infection wey dey caused by bacteria, and e fit spread easily from person to person through cough, sneezing, and contact with open sore, blister, or wound for body.

As of June 30, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) don confirm 798 cases of diphtheria for 33 local government areas for eight states plus the FCT.

Diphtheria na disease wey bacteria dey cause, and the bacteria dey produce toxin wey fit cause serious damage to the respiratory system, heart, skin, and other organs. E dey take around two to five days after person don contact the bacteria before the symptoms go show.
