From March 1, customers go dey pay for every withdrawal wey dem make from another bank ATM for Nigeria.

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) don stop the three free monthly withdrawals wey customers dey enjoy before for other banks’ ATMs.

For one circular wey John Onojah, CBN Acting Director of Financial Policy, sign, dem talk say this move go help make banks deploy more ATMs for Nigeria and make sure say banks dey charge correct money for the service.

Under the new ATM rules, withdrawals for a person own bank ATM go still remain free. But if you use another bank ATM, dem go charge you ₦100 for every ₦20,000, plus surcharge wey fit reach ₦500.
