For statement today wey ASUU Presido, Emmanuel Osodeke drop, the union con dey attack ‘the half salary payment of deir members’. Osodeke yarn dis one after one National Executive Council (NEC) meeting wey dem do on Tuesday, hin talk say hin members no be casual workers dey, dem dey do deir work well and dem get sense so dem no fit pay dem half salary. According to am, hin never see dis kin thing for the history of university labour relations wey dem go pay lecturers half salary like say dem be casual workers. The Federal Government during the weekend go defend the half payment to ASUU members for October, dem talk say na who work dey chop, so dem no fit pay dem for work dem no do. Osodeke no talk whether ASUU go enter another strike, but hin con dey beg the Nigerian students, parents, and oda pipo and groups wey dey worry on top the matta for the country say hin need deir understanding for the matta. If we remember, ASUU for October 14th of 2022 call off deir 8 months strike after the National Industrial Court order the lecturers make dem resume work.
