Vice President Kashim Shettima don praise MTN Nigeria for their donation of N1 billion to the Federal Government’s Food Support Programme and 4,600 digital devices for schools.
He talk say the donation shows MTN’s commitment to helping the country’s development and na worthy example for others.
Shettima make this statement today when he meet MTN Nigeria Chairman, Mr. Ernest Ndukwe, for a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa.
During the meeting, Shettima assure say the donation go dey well managed by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
He also talk say MTN go work with his office to set criteria and distribute the 4,600 devices, wey each get U-lesson app, to secondary schools across the six geo-political zones.
Earlier, Mr. Ndukwe appreciate the Federal Government’s efforts to boost the economy and pledge MTN’s support to the administration. He explain say the N1 billion donation dey target vulnerable and marginalized communities, and the devices go help increase digital literacy and support the government’s goals in science and technology.
