Because of the nationwide protest wey dem plan for August 1st, the University of Lagos don postpone the ongoing exams wey dem plan for 1st and 2nd of August indefinitely. Dem also advise students, staff, and everybody for the university community make dem dey security conscious.

For one statement wey the Head of Communication Unit for the university, Mrs. Ibraheem Alaaga, sign, and wey our correspondent see, she talk say the university management don put some safety measures in place to make sure say staff and students dey safe during this ongoing 2nd Semester, 2023/2024 exams.

The statement still encourage students, staff, and the whole university community make dem continue with their normal activities, but make dem no hesitate to report anything or anybody wey look suspicious to the Security Unit.

Even though the university management recognize say citizens get the right to peaceful and lawful assembly, dem still warn staff and students make dem maintain order, civility, and responsibility for how dem behave, both offline and online.
