The system, wey dem call Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), na something like the US ESTA system, and e dey designed to tighten border security. E require people wey no need visa to enter UK to get pre-travel authorisation.
The ETA go cost £10 and e go allow visitors stay for up to six months at a time within two years. The scheme first start for Qatar in 2023, before dem extend am last year to five Gulf countries.
Now, e don expand to cover citizens from about 50 more countries, like Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and Caribbean nations. By April 2, the UK plan to extend the scheme to include more EU and European countries and territories.
