The President also talk say one important way to make Nigeria political system stronger na to improve internal party democracy through direct primaries.
According to am, when ordinary party members get chance to directly choose their candidates, e go help build stronger institutions and make the process more credible. Tinubu add say democracy suppose allow majority carry the decision while minority still keep their voice.
Meanwhile, chairman of IPAC, Yusuf Dantalle, raise some concerns about the newly signed 2026 Electoral Law. E appeal to the President make government reconsider the rule wey make National Identity Number (NIN) compulsory for voter registration.
Dantalle also talk say the removal of indirect primaries for party nominations fit reduce flexibility for political parties and even stop some eligible voters from participating for elections.
IPAC leadership warn say if government no review those requirements, e fit lead to situation where some Nigerians no go fit register or take part fully for the electoral process.
