The Federal Government don approve increase for Nigerian passport fees. The 32-page passport booklet wey get 5-year validity go now cost N50,000, from the previous N35,000. Meanwhile, the 64-page booklet wey get 10-year validity go cost N100,000, up from N70,000.

As per the statement wey the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, DCI Keneth Udo, release, this increase na to maintain the quality and integrity of the document. The fees no go change for people wey dey outside Nigeria, and the new fees go start from September 1, 2024.

Udo still talk say the Service dey sorry for any inconvenience this increase fit cause, but dem dey assure Nigerians say dem go continue to deliver quality service and maintain transparency.
