The Southern and Middle Belt Leaders Forum (SMBLF) don send strong warning give APC and INEC make dem no try suppress or undermine opposition parties for Nigeria. Dem talk say democracy no fit strong if opposition no dey free to operate without wahala, intimidation or manipulation. SMBLF dey worry say the way opposition parties dey scatter inside themselves, plus the way ruling party dey use tactics wey no pure, fit spoil the democratic system wey Nigerians dey try build.
Dem caution APC say make dem no use power take destabilize opposition parties. According to SMBLF, when ruling party dey use influence take cause confusion inside opposition, e dey weaken the voice wey suppose challenge government and hold dem accountable. Dem talk say this kind behavior dey dangerous because e fit lead to political monopoly, where only one party dey control everything without checks and balances.
SMBLF also call INEC out, remind dem say their work na to be neutral umpire wey go make sure say election process dey fair and transparent. Dem beg INEC make dem no dey do selective intervention or dey favor one party over another. Instead, INEC suppose strengthen how dem dey settle party wahala and show Nigerians say dem no get bias. If INEC no do this, people go lose trust for the electoral system.
Finally, SMBLF tell opposition parties make dem drop pride, ego and small-small fight wey dey divide dem. Dem say if opposition no unite and focus, dem no go fit challenge APC well or represent the interest of the people. Na only when opposition strong and organized, democracy go fit balance well.
