The Nigerian Senate don announce members of the constitution amendment committee wey go get Deputy Senate President, Jibril Barau, as chairman and Senate leader, Bamidele Opeyemi as vice chairman.

Dem announce this committee during plenary, as the Senate President talk say the 1999 constitution need serious review. E talk say make the deputy senate president call the Speakers of State Houses of Assembly for interaction before dem begin the review.

The constitution amendment committee get 43 Senators inside, 37 from each state plus FCT, and another six wey go represent the six geopolitical zones of the country. Dem go inaugurate the committee next week Tuesday, and dem go focus on reviewing laws for areas like Artificial Intelligence, State Police, and others.
