Saudi Arabia get plans to allow the sale of alcohol to non-Muslim diplomats for the first time, according to two sources wey dey aware of the plan wey talk to AFP on Wednesday.

Prohibition don dey the law for Saudi Arabia since 1952, shortly after one of King Abdulaziz’s sons bin get drunk and, in anger, shoot dead one British diplomat.

One Saudi government statement on Wednesday talk say authorities dey introduce “a new regulatory framework… to counter the illicit trade of alcohol goods and products received by diplomatic missions.”
