Governor Sanwo-Olu tok through Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, during one inspection for the scene on Friday. E sympathize with families of people wey lose their lives and hail emergency workers for the quick rescue work wey dem do.

According to government, rescue team save 27 people alive from under the building, but sadly, 9 people die. Rescue operation continue throughout the night as LASEMA, Fire Service, LASBCA, Police and other agencies work together for the scene.

Omotoso talk say the governor dey pained over the tragedy and say e for no happen if people obey government warning. According to am, officials don already mark the collapsed building as unsafe and tell everybody make dem comot, but the warning no follow.
