The Police Command for Federal Capital Territory (FCT) don deny say dem receive any report about alleged kidney sale for Nyanya area of Abuja, as the matter dey circulate for social media.
The Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, make this known for statement on Wednesday for Abuja.
Adeh explain say the clarification come after some publications begin circulate online, claiming say Police don confirm report say some young people wey dey stay around Nyanya don sell their kidneys for money.
The reports also claim say one agent for Mararaba, Nasarawa State, dey allegedly buy the kidneys from the young people.
But FCT Police say dem never receive any report like that, talk less of confirming am.
The Command make am clear say no official statement or communication ever come from Police to support the claim.
Police therefore warn members of the public make dem ignore the information and stop spreading unverified reports wey fit cause fear, panic and unnecessary tension among residents.
The Command also call on anybody wey get genuine information about alleged human organ trafficking or any other security matter for FCT make the person report am immediately to the nearest police station.
