Obi yarn this one for him X handle yesterday. He talk say millions of Nigerians dey suffer from serious food shortage and poverty wey don reach level wey never happen before for the country.
He talk say, “For Nigeria today, hunger and poverty no be just distant statistics; na real gbege wey millions of our people dey face every single day.
“United Nations don talk say about 34 million Nigerians go face serious food wahala, and about 63% of our people, na like 133 million, dey live inside multi-dimensional poverty.
“Even with the way dem dey hide the real numbers, inflation don near 30%. Unemployment and bad way wey dem dey run economy don almost finish the middle class wey dey before.
“Families wey dey live better life before don dey fall into poverty. But this one no be ordinary, na because of leaders wey no sabi, wey no get compassion, and wey no dey put Nigerians first.”
“Other countries don face this kind wahala before and dem turn things around with correct leadership, better economic plans, and leaders wey ready to invest in people and lift dem out of poverty. One example na Argentina.
“For Argentina, over 52% of people dey live in poverty by early 2024, according to World Bank. Inflation pass 200%, and people no get confidence for economy again.
“But within two years, the new president take serious action, cut waste for government, and focus on economic stability. Dem reduce poverty rate from 52% to 38.1%, and extreme poverty drop to 8.2%. Inflation come down to just 2–3% every month.”
As e be for 2025, urban poverty don drop to 31.6%, wey help lift millions of people comot from poverty. Investor confidence don rise, and economy don begin grow. People dey see better change for their daily life.
Obi talk say both Argentina and Nigeria current leaders enter office the same year, and this one show say even if two years no fit change everything 100%, e still enough to start the journey wey go turn the country around. But that one fit happen only if the leaders dey honest, focused and truly care about the people.
He talk say Nigeria fit work. We fit reduce hunger and bring back dignity to Nigerians. But this kind change no go happen if corruption and criminality still dey rule our government.
