The conference carry the title, “Assessment of the State of the Nation Under President Tinubu and the 2027 General Elections.”
The gathering na under the umbrella of Ko Da Naka, one group wey dey promote better leadership and community development, together with AFAQ Educational Foundation.
According to the report, the clerics tok say if the President no fit solve the serious security problems wey dey affect many parts of Nigeria, especially the North-West, e suppose no contest for 2027 election.
Dem add say if Tinubu decide to run again, Nigerians suppose reject am and support leaders wey dem believe fit do better work.
The clerics say after plenty tok on insecurity, economy, brain drain, the role of religious leaders and the coming 2027 election, the near 1,000 participants gree for the position.
Dem call the Government make dem handle the kidnapping, killings and terrorist attacks wey still dey worry many communities.
The clerics dey also tok about the government economic policies, saying the policies don make life harder for ordinary Nigerians.
Among the policies wey dem mention na removal of fuel subsidy, changes for foreign exchange system, increase for electricity tariff and tax reforms.
According to dem, instead of government to review the policies and reduce suffering, authorities dey continue with policies wey dey increase hardship.
Dem say government dey focus more on increasing revenue while many Nigerians dey battle with high cost of living and unemployment.
The clerics further talk say if the present administration no change the economic policies wey dem describe as harmful, e no go make sense for Nigerians to return the government to power in 2027.
Dem also express concern over the way doctors, teachers, engineers and other skilled professionals dey leave Nigeria go abroad.
According to dem, no job, bad working conditions, bad facilities and the economic situation of the country na some of the reasons people dey leave.
The clerics tell government make them improve salaries, working conditions and opportunities for skilled workers, while creating policies wey go encourage Nigerians abroad to return home.
