Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) don tell workers and the public make dem no use the service of big telecom companies every day from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, starting from February 13, to protest the recent tariff increase.

NLC President, Joe Ajaero, talk for one statement yesterday say dem dey demand immediate reversal of the hike, wey him describe as “arbitrary and exploitative.”

NLC accuse both the telecom companies and government say dem no dey put Nigerians’ welfare first. Dem talk say with rising inflation, stagnant salaries, and economic wahala, the tariff increase no make sense.

NLC still warn say if the telecom companies no reverse the hike before February 29, dem go escalate action, including full nationwide shutdown of telecom services from March 1.
