The Federal Government don call for urgent and strong measures to fight the serious effects of climate change for the country. Minister of Environment, Alhaji Balarabe Lawal, make this call at the recently concluded Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit (CHOGM) wey happen for Apia, the capital of Samoa. He stress say the impact of climate change na global crisis wey need immediate action.

The minister, wey lead the Nigerian delegation to the meeting after technical flight wahala stop Vice-President Kashim Shettima from attending, talk during the summit wey happen from Oct. 21 to 26. He also restate say the Nigerian government dey support the preservation of democracy and protection of civil rights across the Commonwealth.
