Nigeria and Brazil don sign MoU to boost agribusiness for all 774 LG

Federal Government of Nigeria and Fundação Getulio Vargas of Brazil don sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to push private sector development for fertiliser production, hybrid seed technology, and agricultural finance. Statement from the Director of Information at the State House, Abiodun Oladunjoye, talk say the two parties sign the deal for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

The MoU go direct private-sector projects into fertiliser production, hybrid seed technology, and agricultural finance, with $4.3 billion expected as private-sector investment. Over the next five years, the project, with support from Deutsche Bank, go identify and support one agribusiness for each of Nigeria’s 774 local government areas. The project go give them technical and financial help to drive sustainable development and economic growth.
