The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, go inaugurate the Federation’s Futsal and Beach Soccer Sub-Committee on Thursday for the NFF Secretariat for Abuja.
This newly formed committee go dey chaired by Otuekong Nse Essien, with Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf (Fresh), the Chairman of Chairmen of Nigeria Football, serving as the vice chairman.
The committee members include Aminu Mohammed Inuwa, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, Hajji Liameed Gafaar, Mr. Richard Jideaka, and Yabagi Alhaji Baba. Abubakar D. Umar (Barde) don dey appointed as the secretary.
This Futsal and Beach Soccer Sub-Committee go dey responsible for overseeing all futsal and beach soccer activities for the country, including organizing competitions and handling all matters related to these sports.
Nigeria get strong history for beach soccer, with the Supersand Eagles don win the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations for 2007 and 2009. They also reach the quarter-finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup for Italy 13 years ago, wey highlight Nigeria prowess for continental and global stages.
For related news, the Confederation of African Football recently conduct the draw for this year’s Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series. The Supersand Eagles go face Mauritania for home-and-away series next month. Fourteen countries go participate for the qualifiers, with the seven winners go join hosts Egypt for the finals.
