The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for the weekend don seize drugs wey worth billions of naira for inside one warehouse wey dey inside the well-known International Trade Fair Complex for Alaba, Ojo area for Lagos.
One statement wey the media officer of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, release on Sunday talk say dem recover 1.4 million tablets of tramadol 225mg; 3.2 million tablets of codeine; and 2,841 cartons of codeine syrup – wey get total value of Four Billion Eight Hundred and Twenty Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N4,820,500,000), from the warehouse wey belong to one billionaire drug dealer wey dem dey find.
Babafemi talk say during the operation wey last for some hours, dem arrest one suspect, Paulinus Ojukwu, wey be Chief Security Officer to the wanted drug baron wey dey act as motor spare parts dealer. The suspect dey help for the ongoing investigation.
The recent drug warehouse wey dem bust now follow the arrest of one drug dealer wey be woman, Faith Ebele Nwankwo, wey dem catch on Wednesday 9th August with Two Million Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand (2,750,000) tablets of tramaking, wey be one brand of tramadol 225mg and 250mg. Dem recover the drugs from her house for Festac, and one warehouse wey dey Amuwo Odofin, both for Lagos.
