Suspected terrorists don abduct 14 students from one Islamic school for Niger State.

The incident reportedly happen on Saturday for Pandogari, inside Rafi Local Government Area of the state.

According to reports, the students dey help their Mallam harvest maize for im farm when the suspected terrorists storm the place and carry dem go.

The Mallam wey be their teacher was also reportedly kidnapped during the attack.

But the Niger State Police Command spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, confirm the incident on Monday, saying na 14 students dem abduct, no be 50 as some reports claim.

Abiodun explain say the attack happen around 12:30pm on October 31, 2026, for Tungan-Bako village, inside Rafi Local Government Area.

According to am, the suspected bandits invade the village and abduct some people wey dey work for farm.

He add say the victims include about 14 students of one Islamiya school.

The police spokesperson also confirm say security operatives don begin rescue operation to free the victims.

He assure say joint security teams dey work to make sure say dem rescue the abducted students and other victims.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Vatsa, spokesperson to the Social Democratic Party governorship candidate, don condemn Governor Mohammed Bago over the way im government dey handle insecurity for the state.

Vatsa complain say the governor dey focus on election activities instead of protecting the lives and property of people for Niger State.

He also claim say security agencies for the state no get enough operational vehicles and other important equipment to tackle the security challenges.

According to am, government officials dey always release statements to condemn attacks or sympathise with families of victims, but dem never take strong steps to stop the killings and kidnappings.

He therefore express concern over the worsening security situation and the need for government to take more serious action to protect reside
