Lagos State Police don arrest one man, Ebuka Adindu, wey dem say stab Sodiq Ibrahim to death during fight wey happen for Mandillas, Ebute Meta area on Wednesday.
One social media person wey raise alarm first, @JackFleet, talk say fight dey go on for Lagos Island, Madillas side. Him say two guys dey fight and one don die. Him still talk say area boys don dey stab innocent people for street.
But police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, talk say that one no true. Him say make people no panic, say DPOs from Lion Building and Ebute-Ero don show with their men and peace don return.
Hundeyin still talk say dem don arrest the suspect and him dey custody for further action.
For another message, Hundeyin clear say the fight no be tribal wahala as people dey talk. Him say no ethnic group fight happen for Balogun Market.
Him explain say na free-for-all fight between hoodlums and miscreants wey happen around 11am. During the fight, Ebuka Adindu from Abia State stab Sodiq Ibrahim from Kogi State to death, then stab himself for shoulder and faint.
Ebuka dey under arrest for hospital now, and once him recover, dem go prosecute am.
Police talk say no innocent person die, no other injury happen, and nothing spoil for market.
Dem talk say make marketers and people for Island and other parts of Lagos continue their business without fear. Dem confirm say everything don calm down and no tribal fight dey involved.
